This ironic postmodern homage to Kustodiev’s «Merchant’s Wife at Tea» depicts a woman in the style of a classical portrait, surrounded by attributes of contemporary consumer culture. Before her lies a table groaning under abundance: fruits, cakes, yogurts, juices, Starbucks, packages with recognizable brands.

All of this emphasizes excess, glamour, and the pursuit of material prosperity. The painting mocks the cult of consumption and the transformation of food and brands into status symbols.
