Artist’s Quote:

In recent years, I have been working with lavash, traditional Armenian bread, which becomes a carrier of cultural memory in my practice. This book, made from lavash, serves as a prototype of the Gospel of Vehamor, believed to be the oldest extant complete Armenian manuscript, preserved at the Matenadaran Institute of Ancient Manuscripts in Yerevan.

The organic, fragile nature of the material emphasizes how vulnerable cultural memory is and the care required to preserve and transmit it.
